Simon Davies Receives a Safe Person Award from KBR on the Dragon LNG Site
Simon was working as the banksman for a 14T tracked excavator that uncovered an unchartered bank of electricity cables buried 3m deep, with no indication that they were present and no marker tiles/sand etc.
They did not appear on any site plan and also did not register on the scanning equipment, as they are not in constant use. Simon’s vigilance, along with the machine driver's safe digging during the excavation activity, ensured that the cables were not damaged before they were discovered.
