Work completed on Cardigan Castle Wall
Andrew Scott have completed work on the recently awarded Cardigan Castle Wall Repairs. The works comprised stabilizing the castle wall using a number of measures including rock anchors and the construction of a new retaining wall within the castle grounds.
The client is Cadwgan Building Preservation Trust, a Company Limited by Guarantee and a Registered Charity, is working very hard in partnership with Ceredigion County Council to save Cardigan Castle and associated buildings on its 2 acre site.
The Trust has now secured £4.5m from the Heritage Lottery Fund and a further £4.7m from WEFO towards the £11m project. We are also working towards a Communities Asset Transfer grant and hope to have all the funding in place by the summer.
