Four New Faces Join Andrew Scott Team
Wales oldest construction company Andrew Scott Ltd, based in Margam, has appointed four new high profile staff to strengthen its senior management team.
Alison Rees, Bill Pugh, Graham Williams and Ken Thomas join the company which was established in 1870 and which continues to be involved in many high profile construction and civil engineering projects throughout the UK.
Alison Rees joins the company as Business Development Manager. She has vast business development, marketing, sales and account management experience. With a wealth of knowledge of the Media industry, Alison has a broad knowledge of organisations across multiple sectors. Alison’s professional experience is invaluable in creating and sustaining long lasting productive business contacts who seek repeat business opportunities with Andrew Scott. Alison will be based at Andrew Scott’s Head Quarters at Margam.

Bill Pugh is from Llangan, started his career with Andrew Scott Ltd at BSC Port Talbot Steelworks in 1985. After nearly 30 years of experience in senior management with other Regional Civil Engineering Contractors, mainly on Power Stations and High Voltage Substation projects, he now returns as Contracts Manager to further develop the Company’s business opportunities within the energy sector. Bill will be based in Margam office and will be working with entire Projects team to supply a high quality, reliable product to the Customer, thereby promoting repeat business for long term growth.

Graham Williams, from Pencoed joins as Pre-construction Manager to provide technical expertise to support the submission of Pre-qualification Questionnaires and Tenders.
He brings with him over 30 years of experience working with Regional Civil Engineering Contractors most recently as Contracts Manager with Balfour Beatty.
Graham will be based in our Margam office and will work closely with our Business Development and Estimating Departments”

Kenneth Thomas, from the Vale of Neath joins Andrew Scott Ltd as Plant & Transport Manager. His role is to exert a new fresh approach to the current role, the plant and transport department have and in particular to enhance the service, image and products offered by the department whilst being competitive within the market. Having worked within the Plant & Transport industry for over 35 years in various capacities from a Plant fitter to being Managing Director of his own business, Ken brings to the company a professional approach and his keen to work in conjunction with all site personnel to attain and increase Andrew Scott position has a major player within the civil engineering/construction sector.
Mark Bowen, Andrew Scott’s Managing Director said “With our turnover up 70% on last year, we are continuing to strengthen our management team in order to maintain our high standards to valued clients and expedite our expansion plans directly into emerging sectors”.
