Turf Cutting Ceremony at Broad Haven C. P. School
Staff and pupils of Broad Haven C.P. School joined council dignitaries and representatives from the Andrew Scott team for a turf cutting ceremony to celebrate the progress of the construction work on site at the new £2.25 million school.
The work is expected to take 12 months in total.
Headteacher Andrew Williams said: “I’m just delighted that Broad Haven is benefitting from the 21st Century Scheme to provide us with a fantastic school that will soon be able to cater for children from the age of 3 up to 11.”
The first phase, which started in July, is the new extension to the rear of the existing school which will accommodate classrooms, early years, reception and kitchen servery areas.
The second phase will encompass the refurbishment of the existing school.
"Andrew Scott Commercial Director, Julian Davies added: Andrew Scott is delighted to be responsible for building Broad Haven C.P.School - our second Contract with Pembrokeshire County Council. We look forward to creating an inspirational and effective learning environment for its pupils.”
