HEALTH & SAFETY

The health, safety and wellbeing of our employees, and everyone we come into contact with, is our number one priority.

We work tirelessly to create a secure working environment across all of our business activities, maintaining an outstanding safety record, whilst reducing accident frequency rates. Our high standards and consistent commitment to health and safety is reflected in us receiving a RoSPA ‘Gold Medal’ in 2021 in recognition of 9 consecutive Gold Awards from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents.

Our Health and Safety Management System fully meets the requirements of ISO 45001:2018, whilst our behavioural safety campaign ‘Always Safe’ is evident in all we do and every single employee is encouraged to play their part in creating a safe working environment.

As part of our approach to continuous improvement, we provide a programme of safety training to our staff and to our supply chain partners.

Our designated H&S Manager Justin Kingdom, develops and implements our health and safety procedures and reports directly to our Managing Director, Mark Bowen.

First in the UK

Surf Bristol Ltd

Construction of a 200m inland Surf Lake using ground-breaking Wavegarden cove technology – the first of its kind in the UK. This exciting facility will generate up to 1,000 quality waves per hours, ranging from 50cm (1.7ft) to almost 2m (6.5ft) in height.

The new build also includes an education centre for schools and colleges, a café and bar, a surf shop. There’s also external works for landscaped gardens and car parks
