Construction of a 200m inland Surf Lake using ground-breaking Wavegarden cove technology – the first of its kind in the UK. This exciting facility will generate up to 1,000 quality waves per hours, ranging from 50cm (1.7ft) to almost 2m (6.5ft) in height.

The new build also includes an education centre for schools and colleges, a café and bar, a surf shop. There’s also external works for landscaped gardens and car parks

A Design and Build project to redevelop the existing Station, whilst maintaining a fully functional emergency service.

The new Station contains; muster areas, office space, briefing / training room, gym and recreational areas and appliance bays.

To minimise energy use and running costs the Station utilises; low pressure hot water system, solar panels to heat 50-70% of the hot water, and a rainwater recycling system.

Additional works included the careful demolition of a sub-station, the provision of additional car parking and associated site hard landscaping.
