As Principal Contractor we constructed the 4m wide, 50m long Y-shaped bridge over the river Avon in Bristol designed by Knight Architects.
Designed to accommodate the height difference between two riverbanks, one branch is connected to an elevated concrete ramp whilst the other branch carries a pedestrian staircase down to a pedestrian footpath.
The pedestrian and cycle bridge was commissioned by the city council and is designed to improve links between the city’s Temple Meads railway station and a nearby Enterprise zone.
